Some new work...

Hello my adorable little blog friends!

I hope every one's early Spring is passing smoothly. It's still a tiny bit chilly here in Chicago. At least it's raining now. Last week's snow really pissed me off (pardon my language)... so I'm just happy it's at least a gross sticky humid feel now.

Today was a scary day. James ended up going to the ER because he was doored while riding his bike to work. For those to bike around, you can only imagine that being doored would hurt real bad. He has a huge gash on his forearm and his finger that had to be stitched up. He's okay at least. Scared me half to death, but okay.
PS. if you ride a bike in the city- wear a helmet!
PPS. if you drive your car around bikers, PLEASE look before you open your doors.

Either way, I've been doing a lot of sewing and painting lately. Here's some stuff I've been working on:

The Christina in Turquoise and Doilies. Available now in my shop!

I had this half finished earlier last week but for some freak reason, last Saturday, I woke up at 2am and painted until 4am to finish it while listening to Animal Collective, in my bed, in the dark with one night light on, listening to my dog snore. I'm glad that spurt of energy needed to come out though because I really like how this turned out.

Turquoise Pouch with Geometric Leather Shapes. I love the vintage trim for the wristlet strap. Also available for sale!

I sewed a little dress together in a few hours. I went to an estate sale last weekend where this lady HOARDED fabrics. I fell in love with this one and made a simple loose fitting dress with a vintage trim waist tie. It was the first dress I had made in years and boy, oh boy, did I get way too anxious for it.
Sewing bags is definitely better for me.

Welp, that is all! Time for another busy week. I've been slacking on the blogging, I apologize for the 100342394023th time. I appreciate those who are following me on Instagram, twitter, and FB!
I love keeping in touch with all ya'll.
