Where it all goes down & new projects!

Chicago home work table
This is my sewing table. Clean, of course. It never looks like this. BUT this isn't about my sewing table... this is about the lighting. I hate, hate, hate the lighting in my room but fortunately, my wonderful and handyman boyfriend, Nate, will be taking off my ugly old lighting fixture and attaching a new one on tomorrow! Finally, I wont have to open the windows to see properly, I'M SO EXCITED! I purchased day-light light bulbs and with all four light bulbs turned on, my room will be insanely and awesomely bright. I hope to have a little revamping of this bedroom within the next couple months.

Wanna take a look at what I've been working on?

Reversible and quilted coasters! I'm starting a whole new project that will have stuff for your home. This will include more vintage fabric (and not vintage fabric) coasters, pillows, pillow covers, garland for Christmas, garland not for Christmas, maybe some little fabric storage cups, and much more. I have my little notebook in my purse with me at all times so when I come up with an idea, I'll quickly write it down so I wont forget it. I'm excited. What do you think!?

Oh, and this is completely off topic but I want to say it (type it) really quick. I JUST CAME BACK FROM SEEING PARANORMAL AND I ALMOST THREW UP MULTIPLE TIMES AND POSSIBLY HELD MY BREATHE FOR A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME (I'm sure it's a world record). Now that I said that, you can all make fun of me. I'm just happy to be in my room and to be thinking happy thoughts.
Nate came back the other day. I haven't seen him in about 4 weeks since the start of our "break" and me leaving Philly. We've been having so much fun and I'm really looking forward to our "new" relationship. Today we're going to the city to eat some fancy food in fancy clothes, get haircuts (I'm getting a bang-trim), hopefully some antique or thrift stores, and then maybe a movie tonight. Yay!

And to top off this post, I'd like to say hello to my new followers! I posted a thread on the Etsy forum's on "My look on CREATIVE PACKAGING" and I'm receiving an awesome amount of comments on it on how everyone packages. I think it's a great thread with a lot of inspiration and tips if you'd stuck on how to package your items.
Also, I received a really great convo from it and if all goes as planned, I'll have great news! I'm pretty giddy tonight. Like, really, really giddy.

  1. I'm glad to hear you and your boyfriend are together and happy again :) I've been in a long distance relationship for about 5 years, and I know how much a relief it is to finally be together after a long time apart. Enjoy it!

I wanted to see Paranormal Activity, but I don't know anyone who would go see it with me D: Haha.

And PS- I LOVE my fawn pouch! My family was all curious to see what was in the pretty envelope with the birds and squirrel on it. They think it's awesome, too :) Thanks again!!!

  6. Loved the bit about packaging, there's nothing quite so exciting as recieving a nice parcel in the post. I hope you enjoy your new bright workspace. How long will it stay clean? Mine usually lasts about a day then all the bits are over the floor again.

  7. Bec, my table stays clean for probably a couple hours at the most. Since it's in my bedroom, I throw everything imaginable on the table and my chair. Oh well.
