Busy, busy, busy.

FACE

I took the weekend off from sewing and got a little wild. Not too wild but I did go out and stayed out late.

The consequences:
a sore and itchy throat.
watery and heavy eyes.
achy and warm body.
unable to eat spicy food. UGH (the worse).

Jeez, being 22 years old is putting a toll on me. I wish I were still 18 years old. It's also horrible since it's actually snowing and it's really cold outside. Running to Target for 10 minutes to get body wash was the worst decision of my life. I know you're laughing at me right now and that's okay because I am laughing at myself too. :)

Oh! I also went to the Renegade Handmade Winter craft show in Chicago on Saturday and boy, was it packed?! I bought some gifts for family and a necklace for myself. Being there inspired me so much and I hope I can be as organized next year to join in on the fun. I was going to go to the OOAK show at the Merchandise Mart but I was too "sick" to do so. I also wasn't able to make it to my friend Lidia, from Evil Kitty, fashion show and I'm really beating myself up over that! Evil Kitty is so fabulous. I used to do make-up for her models and it was so much fun.

Other than posting about a fun-filled weekend, I wanted to thank my customers again for a successful start to this month! I went out to the post office today with some pretty packages and some Christmas letters, so be sure to look out for them!

Business!

I started on the 25 wallets today but unfortunately they only made it to the ironing board and not the sewing machine because of my "sickness". I will officially start working on them tomorrow. I also am kind of in love with embroidery stitching. It gets me preeeeeetty excited! I'm almost done with my first piece and then I'm going to make some as Christmas gifts. I'll post more about it when I'm done.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I hope you're not feeling like how I am right now. Ugh!

  5. I'm 22, going on 23, and I already feel the changes. Yuck!

I wish I was near Chicago again so I could do cool stuff like go to markets and whatnot. Denver needs to shape up and have more activities!

  7. Hey girlie! So sorry you're feeling sick, get well soon!

You look so cute in that picture!!! Makes me wish I lived closer so we could stay out late and get just a little wild out on the town. I used to go to Chicago every summer when I was younger, but I have never been as an adult so I can only imagine what the city and surrounding areas have to offer for the grown and sexy haha.

I'm so excited for you and your sales...you're doing big things and it's inspirational to say the least! I'll be blogging about my coasters soon. We're still moving so I have virtually no free time, boo! :D

  10. it's good to be wild every once in awhile - keeps you free. i'm 31 and definitely can't party down like i could in my 20's and not feel the effects the next day, but i can't ever allow myself to stop having fun (especially since i have big plans with a bottle of wine tonight! ha!).
