Am I hyper or what?

Finally, a day to cool down.
It's been pretty disguising-hot here in Chicago for the past week. Gross hot. Yuck. Today was finally a super chill day [a little too cold! bah, we're never satisfied with the weather here!] outside. James and I went out to dinner with some friends for their going-away-to-travel-to-europe-and-be-awesome-jerks-dinner. I've had the best food I've ever had in my life tonight. Thank youuuu Duchamp and Amanda's ex-boyfriend for the hook up. YUM.

I've been extremely busy preparing myself for the INDIEhandicraft Exchange in Indianapolis and Minor Attack the weekend after that here in Chicago.
I've been sewing up some secret elastic waistband skirts. I love them.
James made me a mini-rack so I can hang the skirts up with hangers but it'll sit on the table. So cute.
I made this really awesome daily backpack that I can't wait to show you guys. James' flipped when he saw it. It's "his favorite" and he was like "YOU HAVE TO MAKE A BUNCH OF THESE. THESE ARE AWESOME!" It's wonderful having a kick-ass confidence boosting supportive boyfriend.
We've also been busy making photo props because I'm going to stir up some fun at my booth with photos that will be shown on my blog after editing. I'm pretty excited about it!

James and I are excited about our first mini road trip. We're packing pb&j sandwiches and bringing Gatorades. We're going to get coffee on the road at 5am and we'll probably just quote Step Brothers the whole 3 hours since we've been watching it basically EVERY day. I can't stop. Will Farrell is so addictive.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here in bed, I just finished playing Marie Laforet songs over and over and over. I think it's making me a little bit hyper.
I figured I'd share that with you and this picture of Bridgitte Bardot that, in my head, resembles me every day this week. Bakin'.

A little old and a little new.

Recently, I've been working on growing my favorites on Etsy so I could make my shopping experience quicker when I'm ready to cough up the bones. I also add items to my favorites when I think the picture is really good so I could go back and use it for inspiration. I've always thought window shopping was just as fun as actual shopping.

I'M ALIVE!

HEY BLOG WORLD!
It's been forever. I've been getting comments saying "Where are you?!" and I'm loving it. I moved into the new apartment last week and it's super adorable. I absolutely love it. I haven't taken pictures yet because we don't have a couch yet. I also want to do a bit of rearranging. It's pretty hilarious though that all my knick-knacks from my old place was able to fit in one room and now they're spread around the whole new house and it's pretty much fully-accessorized-furnished. My roommate thinks I need to go on hoarders.

I'm making this a short update because I'm at the coffee shop with my friend. My landlord hasn't set up our FREE internet yet but once she does... which should be very soon... I will make a massive update and try to keep it to every other day.

Here's some little things:

• I got a new job at a hair salon at a receptionist. My hair is going to look awesome from now on.
• Bird Trouble was accepted to the 50/50 Show in Pilsen which is in early October... which I'm super excited about. I'm also on the wait-list with Teeny Robots for Renegade Craft Fair.
• I got a new tattoo on my legs. It says Moon Shiner. Compliments of Bob Dylan, of course. I also got 'Taco' on my inner lip... compliments of myself being Mexican and loving tacos.
  

• My street had a yard sale yesterday. I got 3 new suitcases and a vintage Eames chair that needs to be reupholstered. I also scored a bunch of real leather for $20 so pretty soon, there's going to be limited time only leather wallets, pouches, and such. Exciting!!!!
